How long will it take to receive my purchase?

Most of the stock at ScentyMental is handmade. I do my best to make orders as soon as they are placed and can sometimes post the item the next day, at other busier times orders can take up to 7 days to process.  I will always advise by email if an order is going to take longer than 7 days to get out to you. We use royal mail first class post for the majority of our orders. After posting your goods should arrive in 1-2 days.

Just Royal Mail? What about larger items?

We use Royal Mail for smaller packages and a choice of courier services (we don’t stick to one as we look for the best deal) for larger heavier packages, Please make your choice of delivery options at checkout.
COLLECT + ... This is a new delivery service we have found, We take your parcel to our nearest collect + store and it will be delivered to your nearest collect + store for you to collect. Your parcel can weigh up to 10kg and the price is only £4.49.
Before opting for this delivery option you need to find your nearest Collect + store and decide for yourself if collecting from there is feasible for you. This service is trackable and you will be notified by email when your parcel has arrived at your chosen store. To find out where your nearest store is please click HERE

What is PayPal and is there another way I can pay?

Our preferred method of payment is PayPal.
PayPal is a secure way to pay over the internet, you can pay by credit or debit card. Your card details are never passed onto us. You don't even need a PayPal account to pay, for more information please visit their website at www.paypal.com . We also accept payment from Google Checkout.  Alternatively we will accept postal orders, please use the 'contact us' page to request more information about paying by this method.

Do you accept returns

Yes we do, unless stated on certain items due to hygiene reasons. It’s ok to change your mind ... Just return items in a saleable condition and we’ll refund you

My goods arrived damaged, what happens now?

If your item has been damaged in transit we ask that you send proof, either by email (including pictures) or returning the product and we will replace the item/s

Will my personal information ever get sold on if I submit it to your site?

Absolutely not. Information you have submitted to us on this website will only be used by ScentyMental to contact you about an order if necessary. We do not store any of your private details and we never sell on information to third parties.

What is Soy Wax?

Soy Wax is a natural wax made from the soy bean through a hydrogenation process.  Soy Wax is a favorite of the natural wax lovers for being more affordable than other natural waxes, they have a longer burn time than a paraffin wax candle and their scent throw is excellent. Soy Wax candles do not increase the CO2 level in the atmosphere and they burn cleaner (produce less soot) also a spillage of Soy Wax is much easier to clean up than paraffin wax,  just hot soapy water is all you’ll need.

What is a ScentyMelt?

A ScentyMelt is like a Soy Wax candle without the wick. They are designed to be used with an oil burner. Place in the top of your oil burner (never add water) and light the tea light underneath (always an un-scented tea light) and the fragrance will flow. ScentyMelts generally have a stronger aroma than candles as more fragrance oil can be added to the Soy Wax. When the fragrance has eventually gone, or you fancy another aroma, simply let the ScentyMelt cool and it will shrink a little so you can pop it out. As we use Soy wax and not parrafin wax you can then simply wash your oil burner in warm soapy water to remove any trace of the used ScentyMelt.

What does SLS free mean?

SLS ( Sodium Lauryl Sulphate) is a foaming agent added to many soaps and other cleaning products, It is known to be a skin irritant to those with sensitive skin. SLS free means there is no sodium lauryl sulphate in the soap
