About ScentyMental

ScentyMental is a small home run business consisting of me ... Claire. Though I can't take all credit for 'ScentyMental', and right at the beginning of this 'about scenty' page I'd like to thank all involved in ScentyMental...input from family, friends and customers truly make 'us' who we are....ok, so I'll carry on with 'About ScentyMental'.....
I have always been involved with crafts and spent many years doing fairs around the Northwest of England.
Having a family put a stop to that as there just wasn't enough hours in the day. However as my family grew I found I had small gaps of time to myself and the world of crafts slowly crept back in. With two of my children now at school full time and one soon to be going, I have more time on my hands and crafting (particularly candle making) has started to take over again.
I became fascinated with wax, and started making candles, but it wasn't enough on its own...which got me sourcing fragrance oils and that was it...I became hooked!
Many many candles were made...pillars, votives, ornamental candles, then came the wax melts (ScentyMelts) a very easy way to scent your home along with the use of an oil burner!
My home started to smell delicious and family and friends started to comment on this when they came round. I even started to get visits from friends who just wanted to smell my newly arrived fragrance oils, they would sheepishly ask if maybe I would make some melts in a particular fragrance.
I loved spreading these beautiful aromas around...and that is how the first ideas for 'ScentyMental' started.
I did more research and found other fragranced items I could make...the handmade car air fresheners became an instant hit I can tell you! I also began to find other crafters who would make their items especially for ScentyMental (check out our fragranced handmade soaps).

So that is the beginnings of 'ScentyMental'                                         

I now do craft fairs, stock shops and have this amazing ScentyMental website.

While being in the 'scenty' business I have managed to source some unusual fragranced items...who ever heard of a chocolate scented calculator! As I come across scented items I will add them to our list of all things scented...also oil burners and candle holders are sourced, I aim to provide a full and broard choice to our ScentyMental customer.
